Although the CORONAVIRUS (Covid-19) has forced the economy into shutdown this past couple of weeks, requiring us to implement the necessary notices and government compliance statements withn the website, we have largely continued to focus on optimising pages for top Google rankings, continued creating article pages, further optimising them for Google, plus reviewing and reaching the Facebook community in our marketing efforts, which has shown some positive results in helping to achieve directing traffic to the website (further details shown below).

For the month of October, the main focus has been on the completion of the website revamp. The new website build will allow for improved editing features, faster page load speeds, easier page navigation and improved Google page ranking under specific key words & key word terms. Although we have yet to see contact / quote enquiry results, it is still early days, since Google has yet to index all pages and the re-worked content. However we have already seen an increase in ranking key words, resulting in an increase in website visitors.

I will be continuing to check & monitor the new website’s performance over the coming weeks and making tweaks & updates where necessary.

Thanks for the updates Gary. We have seen continuing growth in high quality B2B focused coffee machine clicks:

As of today, I have launched a more generic ‘catch all’ coffee machines campaign that will operate on a low spend & low bids – the idea being that we supplement what we’re getting from the highly targeted B2B campaigns with some cheaper, more general coffee machines clicks. This could open up more traffic at a lower cost per click and then we’ll measure what the quality is using Google Analytics and take it from there.

So the aim here is to get closer to old levels of the generic, lower quality clicks and keep out massive uplift in high quality B2B clicks in place – that way we will have clearly improved both quality and quantity.

Hi Chris & Neal,

Just to bring you up to date on the latest with the Google Ads campaigns, please see below the latest update points. Full dashboard here >>

1.) Coffee campaign clicks have flattened out but we are now testing some machine learning bidding to try and squeeze extra value:

2.) Non-coffee clicks are pretty much non-existent now:

3.) Zooming out you can see how B2B coffee machine clicks are way higher than before:

34.) And this has come at the expense of more generic ‘coffee machines’ clicks:

Keen to get any feedback on how this is precipitating on the sales front – my hope is that the additional high quality B2B / commercial clicks are showing, but that we’re not feeling the loss of the generic clicks… but it may be we need to adjust where we are on the dial here.

Hope you’re doing well. I just wanted to bring you up to date on the latest performance from the Google ads campaigns. Full dashboard here:

– We are seeing the coffee campaigns continue to grow. The last couple of weeks have seen some reversion back but before that you can see we really broke new ground and the focus is on cementing that progress to make it the norm:

– The focus at the moment is on bidding to get more from the campaigns and that’s what has driven the above, albeit erratic performance increase – I’m testing various modes of automation and machine learning across the main coffee campaigns and it’s looking pretty positive so far.
 
– Related to this is a noticeable improvement in clickthrough rate – the % of the time that our ads actually get clicked on, and that’s a good endorsement of our targeting:

– We continue to be entirely focused on B2B coffee machine searches. We could open out into the generic ‘coffee machines’ searches but I think the quality would be very low from them.

– record clicks in November with cost per click down to its lowest since we refined the campaigns & focused the targeting. We also had record 3+ page view ‘conversions’ (note Jan 2019 ‘conversions’ were not configured in the same way so please disregard this figure):
– Coffee campaign clicks continue to operate at  higher levels than ever before:
– B2B focused clicks are down slightly but still remain strong. This is to accommodate a large increase in broader ‘coffee machine’ clicks as we aim to increase overall traffic:
– Overall coffee machine clicks are correspondingly very high:
Traffic-wise, it’s very strong – stronger than it’s ever been and the click quality is visibility far better than ever before too. In terms of quality, I think this comes down to the offering and the hook.
In terms of questionnaire – I like your Qs – these are good. A Hotjar exit survey can serve these questions when people move the mouse to leave the site. If you’re able to set this account up, I can do all the tags & setup within Hotjar itself.

Just to bring you up to date on the latest with the Google Ads campaigns, please see below the latest update points. Full dashboard here >>

 

1.) Coffee campaign clicks have flattened out but we are now testing some machine learning bidding to try and squeeze extra value:

Keen to get any feedback on how this is precipitating on the sales front – my hope is that the additional high quality B2B / commercial clicks are showing, but that we’re not feeling the loss of the generic clicks… but it may be we need to adjust where we are on the dial here.
